Significant Action by UP STF Before Constable Recruitment Exam
The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) has taken major action just before the constable recruitment examination, apprehending a female constable from Gorakhpur. The STF discovered five admit cards related to the constable recruitment exam on her mobile phone. In addition to the female constable, three other individuals have also been taken into custody.
Details of the Arrest
The arrested female constable, a resident of Bansgaon in Gorakhpur, was picked up by the STF from her home. Currently, she is stationed in Shravasti. Among the three individuals detained alongside her, one is a local resident, one is a driver, and the third is a private security personnel.
Inquiry Underway
One of the detained individuals is from Delhi and had come to Gorakhpur to collect money from candidates. The STF is currently interrogating all four individuals to gather more information about their activities and any possible network involved in cheating during the recruitment process.
Exam Schedule and Details
The written examination for the UP police constable recruitment is set to begin on August 23 and will continue on August 24, 25, 30, and 31. Admit cards and exam city slips have already been released. Approximately 4.8 million candidates are expected to participate in the recruitment process for 60,244 posts. The exam will take place at various centers across the state, with two shifts each day, enrolling around 500,000 candidates per shift.
Cracking Down on Rumors
In the lead-up to the examination, the UP Police Recruitment Board has issued a statement on social media to address rumors. Reports have emerged of fraudsters claiming to offer exam papers for money, which the board has categorically denied. There has been no leak of the exam papers, and the STF is prepared to take action against those disseminating false information.
Certain fraudsters are claiming on social media that they can provide the question papers for the upcoming examination for direct recruitment to the posts of Constable, which is entirely false. The board will take legal action through STF regarding such misleading information.
