Twitter recently announced changes for verified accounts. The company had said that we are introducing ‘official’ label for some accounts. Selected verified accounts, including major media organizations and governments, will be labeled ‘official’. The company said that not all previously verified accounts will get the ‘official’ label and the label is not available for purchase.

Accounts that receive it include government accounts, commercial companies, business partners, major media outlets, publishers and some public figures.
