Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the government has 5G spectrum The spectrum harmonization process has been completed within a few days of the completion of the auction. For greater efficiency, the respective spectrum available with companies within a particular band is corrected. The spectrum harmonization process is critical for 5G services. Under this, a group of radio waves available within a band is brought into a contiguous block with the consent of all telecom service providers.
Approval taken for allotment
Vaishnav said that the government is working to timely allot the spectrum taken by the companies in the auction. The allotment will be done by August 12. The process of approval in this regard from the committee of secretaries has also been completed. Spectrum harmonization increases the efficiency of companies as they bring together the portion of the radio waves available to them in a single band. This work is done with the consent of the companies.
Vaishnav said that we are moving forward on the promise we have promised to allot spectrum by August 12. He told that things are on time. Explaining the synergy between spectrum, a DoT official said that it is like bridging the gap created by the distributed land in which it is brought around.
Auction was completed on Monday
The biggest ever auction of telecom spectrum in the country was completed on Monday this week. Bids worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore have come in this. A total of 72 GHz spectrum worth Rs 4.3 lakh crore was placed under bidding this year. In this 51,236 MHz i.e. 71 percent spectrum was sold.
After each auction, the different spectrum held by each company in a band is brought together through a reconciliation process. All companies agree to this transfer. Usually this process takes three months. Vaishnav said that it is a difficult process, but we completed it in a day. He said that the team has worked very carefully on this.
