This time 32 teams are participating in FIFA World 2022. These 32 teams have been divided into eight groups of four teams each. Top 2 teams of each group will go to the next round.
Apart from the host Qatar in the group, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands are there. The first match of this group will be played just after the opening ceremony i.e. on Sunday 20 November from 9.30 pm.
The first match of the second group will be between England and Iran. England, captained by Harry Kane, is being considered as a big contender this time.
Argentina, captained by Lionel Messi, is in Group C along with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland. The first match of this group will be between Argentina and Saudi Arabia on 22 November.
The current champion France is in Group D. Apart from this, Australia, Denmark and Tunisia are present in this group. The first match of the group will be played between Denmark and Tunisia on 22 November.
Spain, Costa Rica, Germany and Japan have been placed in Group E. On November 23, the teams of Germany and Japan will enter the Khalifa International Stadium, which will be the first match of this group.
Group F is one of the strongest groups in this World Cup. Belgium, Canada, Morocco and last time’s runner-up Croatia are in this group.
Brazil, which has won the most World Cups, is in Group G this time. The first match of its group will be played between Switzerland and Cameroon on 24 November.
The Portugal team, captained by Cristiano Ronaldo, has been placed in Group H along with Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea. The first match of this group will be played between Uruguay and South Korea on 24 November.
